PROJECTS

Kanaka Maoli Ho'okupu Ku Lana Kauhale.

Introducing Hawaii's first living Hawaiian village.  Step back in time and visit old Hawaii.  From crafts, agriculture, fishing, storytelling and language we transport you back in time and show you what an ancient Hawaiian Village would look like and function.

Our goal is to educate the people of Hawaii to become self-sustainable by utilizing growable natural resources and medicines for healthier lifestyles and to encourage a healthy connection to the land.

Through various local entities, we hope to gather enough donations throughout the year to host schools to the village without charge.

Kanaka Maoli Ho'okupu Center

We are fixing up the old Uncle Mikey's building to bring Hilo it's very own Luau Center.  We will be working with local Halau's to bring the best of what Hilo has to offer!  Along with good music, beautiful dancing, we will also be serving local/hawaiian foods.

Keep updated because we will be hosting concerts and other special events as the COVID 19 restriction lift and we are able to safely accommodate the types of venues.

Kainalu Construction of Hilo LLC

On the job training for individuals looking to gain employment in the private sector doing maintenance, lawn care, construction, and heavy equipment operation.  We are also a 2nd chance company that helps those on probation and parole gain successful employment to take care of themselves and their loved ones.

Community Service Partner

We are happy to offer a unique and safe place to complete court-ordered community service.  Many of our community service members have gained employment after the hours are performed.  We hope that by allowing others to work through the issues beforehand they can gain valuable experience that can be used for a resume to better their lives.

Education

We would like to be able to create a Uilani Kawailehua Scholarship for the study of Hawaiian at the University of Hilo.  We are actively looking at also helping Hawaiian children with Immersion school scholarships.
