Mission

Serving the people of Hawaii through education to live Hawaiian values and learn respect for others and themselves.

Vision

Shaping the future of Hawaii by preserving our heritage and learning, teaching, and living Hawaiian values.

Purpose

The Hawaiian Cultural Center is a place to help perpetuate the Hawaiian Culture. Through the years, Hawaiiana has gone through various phases. Because of the fantastic work that activists and the colleges here in Hawaii have done, we are proud that more and more Hawaiian children are learning about their culture and ancestors. Nevertheless, there is more work to be done.  Many children of Hawaiian descent are growing up in one parent or foster homes. Our goal is to help the Hawaiian ohana become strong again. We hope that through the teachings of our elders and living pono this goal can be achieved. The cultural center and village is the beginning of this. Through education and example, we hope to empower the Hawaiian people (at all ages) to learn important values such as kindness, Aloha, and righteousness for each other and ourselves.
